The Smart School concept was developed as it was believed that ICT plays an important role in imparting learning desire to all. With the help of ICT, the teaching and learning process will be made easier, more fun and effective in delivery and management. Besides that, students with the exposure to ICT, will get familiar with the ICT world and able to handle ICT tools effectively and this will produce technology savvy new generation needed for the development of the country. Everything seemed well-planned and the idea was idealistic but the reality shows that we are far behind from what was planned. For example, all schools are supposed to be smart, but till now, how many school are truly ‘smart’? I do hope this will become reality so that all students throughout the country have an opportunity to be exposed to the advancing world of technology.
